Der Hygrostat misst mit Feuchtigkeitssensoren die Luftfeuchtigkeit im Raum und ergreift anhand dieser Daten geeignete Ma\u00dfnahmen, um die Luftfeuchtigkeit auf dem gew\u00fcnschten Niveau zu halten. Wenn beispielsweise die Feuchtigkeit des Hygrostats zu hoch ist, wird ein K\u00fchler wie ein K\u00fchlschrank oder der Verdampfer betrieben, um die Feuchtigkeit zu senken. Wenn die Feuchtigkeit des Hygrostats zu niedrig ist, wird der Luftbefeuchter das Ger\u00e4t betreiben und die Feuchtigkeit erh\u00f6hen.
