What are Multi-Turn Proportional Electric Actuators?
Multi-turn proportional electric actuators are a type of electric actuator that can rotate through a range of angles, typically more than 360 degrees. These actuators are commonly used in applications where precise rotation angle control is required, such as valve control systems or robotics. They typically consist of some type of feedback mechanism such as a motor, gear train and encoder to accurately control the position of the output shaft. The term “proportional” refers to the actuator’s ability to control the position of the output shaft in proportion to an input signal such as voltage or current. This allows precise control of the actuator’s position and can be useful in applications where smooth and precise movement is required.
Where Are Multi-Turn Proportional Electric Actuators Used?
Actuators are widely used in the power generation industry, metallurgy, petroleum, chemistry, paper, manufacturing and refining industries, with their smaller size and light weight and easy maintenance features compared to manual handwheels.
Electric Actuators; It consists of 3-phase motor, speed regulator, torque control, stroke control opening indicator, manual electrical switches, manual gear and electrical parts.
The actuator contains a mechanically adjustable torque mechanism. The necessary torque control settings have been made at the factory. However, if adjustment is still needed, it can be done mechanically.
