What is a Stainless Steel Flange?

Stainless steel flange is a type of mechanical joint used to connect pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It consists of a circular ring welded or screwed onto the end of the pipe and has a raised face on one side to allow the attachment of another flange or pipe. The other side of the flange can have a variety of different surface finishes, such as flat face, raised face, or tongue and groove face, depending on the particular application and the type of flange used.
