What is a Stainless Vacuum Breaker?

A vacuum breaker is a device designed to prevent the formation of vacuum in the plumbing system. It does this by allowing air into the system when there is a vacuum, breaking the vacuum and preventing the system from shutting down completely. Vacuum breakers are commonly used in plumbing systems to prevent backflow, which is the reversal of normal water flow in a system.

There are two main types of vacuum breakers: atmospheric vacuum breakers and pressure vacuum breakers. Atmospheric vacuum breakers are typically attached to the end of a hose bib or other outdoor faucet and are designed to prevent backflow by breaking the vacuum by allowing air into the system when the water flow is turned off.

Pressure vacuum breakers, on the other hand, are designed to prevent backflow by breaking the vacuum again by entering air into the system when the water pressure drops below a certain level.

Working Principle

Condensation is undesirable in steam installations. Condensation; The steam in the environment occurs with the cooling of the installation when the line is cut at high pressures. The steam, which turns into water with condensation, causes a volume reduction in the environment and the pressure in the environment decreases gradually and a vacuum is formed in the system.
