Inverted Bucket Steam Trap – Threaded
What is Inverted Bucket Steam Trap?
The inverted bucket steam trap is a mechanical steam trap that uses a weighted bucket to separate the condensate and air from the steam. The trap is designed so that the bucket hangs upside down in the steam stream. When steam flows from the trap, the bucket is lifted from its seat and the steam is allowed to pass. When condensate and air enter the trap, they are heavier than steam and cause the bucket to fall back into place, closing the steam flow and allowing the condensate and air to be evacuated.
The inverted bucket steam trap is typically used in steam distribution systems where large volumes of condensate must be removed. It is very suitable for use in systems with high pressures and flow rates and systems with variable load conditions. One of the main advantages of the inverted bucket trap is that it can handle large volumes of air and other non-condensable gases that can cause problems with other types of traps.

Scope of Application
Inverted bucket steam traps are typically made of cast iron or steel and have threaded connections for easy installation and maintenance. It is a durable and reliable choice for trap applications and is often used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial environments.
UNOX Inverted Bucket Traps are resistant to water hammer by design. The most important feature of inverted bucket traps is that they evacuate the condensate as soon as it occurs. Therefore, the heat efficiency is very high.
