What is Rotary Electric Actuator?
A rotary electric actuator is a type of device that uses an electric motor to rotate a shaft or other mechanical component in a controlled manner. Typically classified by drive types, which can be linear or rotary. Linear electric actuators use a linear motor to drive a piston or other linear component, while rotary electric actuators use a rotary motor to rotate a shaft or other rotary component.
Rotary electric actuators can be further classified according to their design, such as ball screw actuators, belt driven actuators and gear driven actuators. They can also be classified by their power source, such as AC or DC motors, or by control methods such as open-loop or closed-loop control.
Where is Rotary Electric Actuator Used?
It is widely used in a variety of applications including automation, material handling and process control due to its ability to provide precise and repeatable motion control. In addition, they are often preferred over hydraulic or pneumatic actuators as they are more energy efficient and require less maintenance. It is often used to control the movement of valves, gates, flaps and other mechanical components in various industries including manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and more.
Electric Actuators; It consists of 3-phase motor, speed regulator, torque control, stroke control opening indicator, manual electrical switches, manual gear and electrical parts. There are two types, 24V DC, 220V AC.
The actuator contains a mechanically adjustable torque mechanism. The necessary torque control settings have been made at the factory. However, if adjustment is still needed, it can be done mechanically.
