What is Solenoid Control Valve?

Solenoid control valve are hydraulic control valves that perform the on-off function remotely using electrical energy in practice. It provides the control of solenoid control valves by means of a control device that can give an electrical signal, PLC control units or time relays.

Solenoid Control Valve Features

  • The solenoid valves used on the control valve can be used as 3/2 position or 2/2 position valves depending on the application.
  • Solenoid control valves can be selected as normally closed (N.C) or normally open (N.O).
  • The standard voltage rating for solenoid control valves is 24 Volts AC. However, optionally, it is possible to provide control at different voltage values by using 9 Volt DC latching or 12 Volt DC coils.
  • It can be used in many different applications by adding pilot valves that provide different pressure, flow and level control to be mounted on the valve.

Instruction manual

  • Install the valve according to the arrow indicating the flow direction on the valve.
  • For ease of service maintenance of the valve, it is recommended to install isolation valves (gate, butterfly or ball valves etc.) in the inlet direction to cut off the water in the line.
  • In order for the valve to work efficiently, it is recommended to put a suction cup in front of the valve.
  • To protect the valve from frost during winter months, drain the water from the valve actuator to the atmosphere.
  • After assembling the main valve to the mains, mount the electrical connection of the solenoid valve on the valve to the control device you will use.
  • Correctly select the cable diameter to be drawn for electrical transmission between the controller and the solenoid control valve according to the electrical characteristics of the solenoid valve and the distance to be drawn.
  • The voltage value of the controller to be used must be the same as the voltage value of the solenoid valve.
  • To open and close the valve manually, move the ball valve indicated with 4 to the desired position.
  • Clean the filter indicated by the number 5 according to the degree of pollution of the water.
